Colonials Hire New Coach

Dave Fryer Becomes Third Coach in Colonials History(Pittsburgh, PA) – The Colonials are pleased to announce the hiring of their new head coach, Dave Fryer. Said Armand Buzzelli, Assistant Director of Student Life, “Dave brings a total of 11 years of coaching experience to RMU, including experience as an ACHA D-1 head coach at Duquesne University. He was a finalist for the 2008-09 ACHA D-1 National Coach of the Year, has served as a board member for College Hockey Mid-America, and currently serves as board member for the College Hockey East. We are excited to add Dave to our program and look forward to a successful season next year.” Fryer becomes the third head coach in the team’s history.
Said Coach Fryer, “I'm extremely happy to be the newest member of the RMU hockey family, and I'm very much looking forward to keeping things moving in a positive direction.”
Coach Fryer’s first order of business will be to contact all the incoming recruits and prospective players in order to build the team heading into next season. He will also be adding to his coaching staff in the days ahead.
